Girl Boss

In this blog post I’m answering the 5 most asked questions I get about my job, both regarding my blog and my online shop. If you are curious about becoming a blogger, then you should definitely read this. I hope it inspires you to go try it!

1. How long have you blogged and why do you do it?
I’ve been blogging for over 8 years now and I have no intention of quitting yet. This is something I think is incredibly fun and, believe it or not, it also gives me a lot of great knowledge about everything related to social media. Blogging started out as just a hobby for me, but has evolved into becoming a part-time job I love.

2. Do you make money on blogging, if so, how much?
Yes I do! The last few years I’ve gotten many collaboration offers from several advertisers, which then of course brings with it a form of salary. I am very picky about who I choose to work with and only accept inquiries from serious companies and brands. I’m not going to say exactly what I earn each month, because I feel that is a very private matter, but I can happily say that my income is rising slightly every month.

3. Can it really be called a J-O-B?
Yes absolutely. I spend a lot of time on this every single day and I get paid for it. That sounds like a job too me, right?

4. What inspired you to start your own design shop?
Nothing really. I’m almost ashamed to say it, but the reason I started my business was very random. One night over a year ago I was looking for cool prints on Etsy, but didn’t find any with the exact quote I wanted. Therefore, I decided to try making my own print using photoshop. Everything just kinda evolved from there. A dream I didn’t know I had came true.

5. What kind of marketing do you do for your online store?
Marketing is something I’m trying to get better at. It’s so incredibly difficult and I still have much to learn. My biggest marketing platform is without a doubt, Facebook! I use Instagram as well, but I get far more sales through Facebook, and my blog as well of course. It is after all through my blog most people find my online shop. I think everyone with an online shop should have a blog, but that’s just my opinion.

Now you should now a little more about my job and what I do everyday. I hope you nosy people are satisfied, haha. ;)

Kjekt innlegg. Tror det er mange som ikke forstår hvor mye arbeid som KAN ligge bak en blogg, iallefall for oss som tar den seriøst. :-)

Takk for det Maria. Ja, det er ikke bare bare å velge blogging som yrke altså. Hehe. Men det vet jo du alt om også. :)
